Smak Birch Juice

Birch sap is the resin of the birch tree, usually a sugar birch or silver birch. This resin is a slightly sweet, watery liquid that flows from a cut or bruised birch trunk or branches under the influence of root pressure.

Sap flow begins in spring and continues until the buds open. To prevent tree loss, it is not recommended to extract sap from young trees. After extracting the correct amount of sap, obscure it with wax or caulk it with moss.

Birch sap contains fructose, tannins, vitamins, and trace elements. In folk medicine, it is recommended as a tonic and diuretic. In herbal medicine, birch sap is one of the best natural remedies for improving metabolism.

The collected juice can be drunk like a fruit juice.
